CLIMAS aims to lead innovative research, foster policy development, and encourage community engagement to address the complex intersections between climate change and public health.

Alcance Climas HUB
CLIMAS aims to democratize knowledge on mitigating the adverse health impacts of climate change. It also strives to strengthen health system resilience, support community-driven initiatives, and enhance project outcomes through collaboration, strategic partnerships, and knowledge mobilization efforts.
It adopts a broad transdisciplinary and intersectional approach, integrating research, policy and community engagement to comprehensively address the challenges and social inequalities associated with climate change and health. It is also supported by seven countries: Brazil, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain and Australia, fostering global collaboration.
Launched in November 2024, the CLIMAS Hub has a four-year vision to establish itself as a key reference in climate and health research in Latin America and the Caribbean. Operating from the Instituto de Salud Pública at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, it will conduct research, fund regional projects, build capacity, and foster knowledge dissemination.
