Research Assistant
Bacteriologist graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with a thesis in immunohematology: Frequency of alloimmunization in polytransfused patients. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with an emphasis on Health Intervention and Promotion from the École de Santé Publique de l’Université de Lorraine, Nancy, France. Thesis: Diagnostic Participatif avec la communauté indigène Tikuna d´Arara.
Her experience as a researcher begins with her scientific training in clinical bacteriology and health research, subsequently and through her master’s studies she began her experience in public health as a research assistant within the PUJ-Institute of Public Health in the project for the development of the Territorial Observatory on Health of the Pan-Amazon, developing the methodology for the diagnostic phase of the project, designing quantitative and qualitative tools for data collection, supporting data analysis and writing results reports and creating products for the results dissemination. Later, she joined the FIS-Guajira intervention led by the National Institute of Health of Colombia, which seeks to respond to the health problems that coming from the interaction between socio-economic determinants of health and the territory, her main activities were the diagnosis of intestinal parasitosis, writing results reports and technical reports as well as providing methodological support in the elaboration of results analysis plans using the One Health model.
