Jerson Cuellar

Young Researcher at CLIMAS Hub, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ). His work focuses on situational analysis for modeling and data accessibility regarding extreme weather events and their impact on public health.

Jerson Andrés is veterinarian graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (2022) and current Master of Public Health student at Public Health Institute (PUJ). He holds a Diploma in Social Appropriation of Knowledge (2024) and additional training in technical writing, scientific publishing, digital marketing, cybersecurity, AI, and copywriting.

His professional background includes participating in interdisciplinary studies on the eco-epidemiology of infectious, zoonotic, and vector-borne diseases, addressing molecular and taxonomic aspects, as well as interactions with animals under the One Health approach. In the field of scientific management, he has experience in supporting and monitoring research projects, science communication, and providing technical-administrative assistance to Research Ethics Committees (REC) and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUC/CICUA), following standards of scientific integrity, bioethics, and research ethics.
