Anita Villacís - Investigadora. Centro de Cambio Climático y Salud para América Latina y el Caribe (CLIMAS)
Associate Professor at the School of Biological Sciences, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, and Principal Researcher at the Latin American Health Research Center.

Her work focuses on Chagas disease prevention and control, vector biology, climate change impacts on Aedes aegypti, arboviruses, and Triatoma virus (TrV).

She holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from Ohio University (2019) and multiple postgraduate degrees in infectious disease biology and teaching technologies.
